The Tokyo Olympics 2021 (of 2020) will start from the end of July to the first week of August. Initially the Summer Olympics was scheduled in the year 2020.
It was about to start from 24 July, 2020 to 9 August 2020, but it got postponed due to the uprising affect of the Corona virus pandemic. Now this mega sports event will held from 23 July 2021 to 8 August 2021.
This is going to be the first time in history that Olympics Games has been rescheduled rather that cancelled. Tokyo was selected as the host city on 7 September 2013 during the 125th IOC Session in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Japan will mark the second time to host Summer Olympics Games, the first was back in 1964. Japan is the first Asian country to host Summer Olympics Games twice.
The Opening Ceremony will held on 23 July 2021 and the closing ceremony will take place on the final day of Olympics Games i.e. 8 August 2021.
Though the event is taking place in the year 2021 but the name is still kept Tokyo Olympics 2020 for branding and marketing.
There are 339 event in 33 sports will take place across 42 venue. 11,000 athletes are expected to take part in Tokyo Olympics 2021. The first two days will be the preliminary matches of soccer and softball, which is a new sports introduced to the Olympic Games.

For USA: Most of the Olympic games will broadcast on local NBC station, CNBC, USA Network. While online streaming will be done on NBC Sports, NBC Olympics, as well as on Peacock.
For UK: BBC One and Eurosport will telecast the live events of Tokyo Olympics 2021.
For Australia: Seven Digital TV channels, including 7, 7TWO, and 7mate will broadcast the live events. This can be accessible via 7Plus website and App.

Is Tokyo Olympics 2021 Cancelled?
The Tokyo Olympics chief said the event may have to be cancelled due to the rising emergency globally. United States also said they would draw their participation from the Summer Olympics Games if the games is not postponed to the next year. However IOC along with Tokyo president Yoshiro Mori confirmed that Tokyo Olympics 2020 is rescheduled and will be held with many restrictions and no audience will be allowed.
