Star Plus channel name changes to Utsav Plus in UK & Europe

Two decades ago Star Network launched its 3 prime channels Star Plus, Star Gold, and Star Bharat in UK and got a huge response from their loyal viewers.

This special relationship has catapulted the Star Network to No.1 in the UK’s official TV ratings (BARB) for over a decade.

Gaurav Jandwani, Senior Vice President & Business Head (UK, Europe & South Africa) said: “As much as the past year has been challenging for all of us, it has equally brought out a sense of gratefulness and celebration for all things positive. To reiterate this sense of optimism, it gives me great pleasure to announce the brand refresh of our network from the 22nd January 2021 with the same promise of touching lives through our inspirational characters.”

From Friday 22nd January 2021, these Star channels are getting new names and logos with the name ‘Utsav’ which means a celebration. According to the Star Network, it is the right time to reflect the change.

The tagline of this change is “Entertainment Wahi, Pehchan Nayi“. Below are the new channel names of all the 3 channels:

  • Star Plus HD will be known as Utsav Plus HD (Sky 705, Virgin Media 803, Yupp TV)
  • Star Gold HD will be known as Utsav Gold HD (Sky 717, Virgin Media 801)
  • Star Bharat will be known as Utsav Bharat (Sky 704, Virgin Media 802, Yupp TV)
