Colors TV started a new serial Molki (मोलक्की / Molkki) which is produced by Ekta Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Telefilms.
The story of Molki serial is based on the 18 years old Purvi, who is from a small village in Uttar Pradesh. She is forcefully married to the Sarpanch of the village, Thakur Virendra Pratap Singh as a part of bride buying custom (pratha).
The role of a Purvi is played by Priyal Mahajan. She was last seen in Star Plus’s serial Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 as Tapur Basu.
While the role of a Thakur Virendra Pratap Singh is played by Amar Upadhyay. He got fame from Star Plus’s serial Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi as well as Saath Nibhaana Saathiya.
