BBC One cooking reality show MasterChef UK (2022) is back with series 18 with all new twist and contestants.
MasterChef UK 2022 has some new changes in the competition for the cooks to progress ahead. In this series, each week 9 amateur cooks (for 5 weeks) will compete in the first test named Audition Round.
In the audition, judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace will directly taste the dish in the new MasterChef Tasting Room which are cooked by these 9 contestants. From them, 3 cooks will get MasterChef apron while the remaining 6 will compete in the next round.
From these 6 contestants, 4 will get the coveted apron joining the 3 cooks in the next round while the 2 cooks gets eliminated.
Now these 7 contestants will face 2 more cooking challenge in which the first is the Market Challenge, were these 7 cooks are tasked to invest a dish on the spot from a market. At the end of this challenge, 1 cook will send home while 6 move ahead in the next round.
In the second challenge, these 6 will cook a dish set by country’s popular food critics. At the end, 4 will move forward in the quarter-finals while remaining 2 contestants will go home.
Now in the quarter-finals, these 4 contestants will cook two courses not just for our judges but also for our special guests i.e. previous MasterChef champions. At the end, 2 cooks will secure their place in the semi-finals (one step closer to win the MasterChef UK 2022 trophy 🏆) while the other 2 gets eliminated.
