Citytv is back with season 1 of Canada’s Got Talent 2022 (aka. CGT) with new contestants and their acts.
These contestants will showcase their talent/acts during the audition rounds to win the Golden Buzzer to secure their place in the Semi-finals.
The casts may perform on various genres such as singing, dancing, comedy, magic, stunts, variety, and others.
This time in Canada Got Talent 2022, we have a total of 6 Golden Buzzers (1-1 for each of the 4 judges and host while the 6th golden buzzer is pressed by all of these)
From the audition rounds, some acts will receive a Golden Buzzers (direct in Semi-finals) while many of them gets selected for the next round which is known as The Cutdown Round or the Judges Round.
At the end of this round, we will get top 18 selected contestants for the Semi-finals and later on based on the public votes, we will get top 8 finalists and followed by the ultimate winner of Canada’s Got Talent 2022.
CGT Season 1 started on March 22, 2022 with
4 Judges i.e. Kardinal Offishall, Trish Stratus, Lilly Singh and Howie Mandel. It is hosted by Lindsay Ell.

My husband and I were very disappointed that Kelly Loder was not selected for the finalist in Canada‘s got talent. We fully expected her to be in the top three as she showed such promise and receive such praise from the judges. It almost seemed like Howie Mendel was leading the other judges to his choices. I wish Kelly every success as I thought she was phenomenal
